Crafting 2010

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season with friends and family.  For this month, we will be making wreaths.  Your choice--round or heart.  We are not limiting to just the two examples shown, so be creative! Have you wanted and Easter Wreath?  Bring some old plastic eggs and glue them on or some cute pastel fabric. Have you wanted a Flower wreath? Bring your favorite flowers (preferably silk since they are less fragile than dried). The possibilities are endless.

Example #1. Romance Novel.  Go to the local dollar store and pick up a steamy novel (you can read it if you would like).  If you liked it too much, go get another one, otherwise, rip out the pages and glue them on and .... poof...you have a cool wreath!

Example #2: Be my Valentine: Go to Hobby Lobby (I just happen to love their fabric) and pick out the cutest Valentine fabric. Go home and cut it into squares.  Then come to craft night and turn those squares of fabric into this one of a kind wreath!

When: Tuesday, January 26th
Time: 7:30pm
Place: Chelsie L. house
Supplies:  Chelsie will get the basics (ie: glue and foam wreaths).
You need to bring what you want to decorate it with.
RSVP: chelsie_larson[at]hotmail[dot]com by January 12th.
Price: TBA

And the winner is.....

A tie! From the results I got, the "Cookies for Santa" plate and the Wiseman/Shepherd block glass are the projects that we will be doing for our next craft night (see previous post for pictures).  Sign-ups will end WED, NOV 4th at midnight.

Cookies for Santa:  RSVP to Rochelle D. (rdivett[at]gmail[dot]com).  She is estimating that each plate will be about $10.  Please specify how many.

Block glass: RSVP to Christine G. (christinegerhard[at]gmail[dot]com).  Please specify which one(s) you would like to do. Price is yet to be determined.

This is going to be a fun craft night!

November Craft Night

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies

We need help!  We need an idea for next month's craft night!  We want to do a Christmas craft so this is what I need you to do.  Email me (jennifer[dot]childers[at]gmail[dot]com) your ideas by TUES, Oct. 27th. I will then post them and will have until next FRIDAY OCT, 30th to vote on them.  I will take the top three and then we will take another vote.  So start your dreaming!

P.S. Thanks for Christine G. for hosting last night.  We have a great time making watch bands and drinking delicious smoothies!
