FYI Meet the teacher day will be August 12th from 12:30-2 and the first day of school for grades 1-5 is on August 16th. School will run from 7:55AM- 2PM with no early release Wednesdays. (see here for details

Can someone translate this for a mom with a kindergartner? What exactly is "meet the teacher" and who does it involve? If the first day of school for grades 1-5 is on August 16th, then when do the kindergartners start? Thanks for the help!
