Family Day at the Balloon Museum



Here is a fun activity happening during spring break. We go every wednesday to storytime and it is fabulous. We love the balloon musuem and their staff!



Enjoy Spring Break With Your Family at the Balloon Museum


March 14th Spring Break Family Day Full of Fun, Learning, and Entertainment for All Ages



Schedule of Events:

9:30-10:15 a.m. Stories in the Sky with special guests, live music Peri & the FAQs mixed with stories by Laurie Magovern.

11:30 - 1 p.m. Mufari Marimba - lively, yet soothing music, reminiscent of island breezes.

12:45 - 2:45 pm - Balloon Sculpture Artist and Children's Entertainer - Tall Paul Magic. Tall Paul creates fantastic, one-of-a-kind balloon sculptures coupled with kid humor.


All day activities:
Hands-on balloon education with Balloon Explorium, Inc.

Make Your Own Kites and Windsocks and fly them on museum grounds.

Bubbles and Parachute Games

Kite and Remote Controlled Hot-Air Balloon Demonstrations that reach twenty feet in the air (weather permitting).

Mobile Food Truck - JP Custard will provide breakfast, lunch, and frozen custard options.


Families may purchase food or bring a picnic. The museum encourages families to bring their own kites as well. The Balloon Museum offers majestic views of the Sandias and plenty of free parking.


Admission to Stories in the Sky (9:30-10:15am) is free. After 10:15 a.m. regular Museum admission fees apply .
