Dion's Club Read program

Here's a fun way to encourage reading with your kids (Pre-K thru 6th grade) while getting some cool stuff in return (besides the obvious literary benefits.)
*It says that parents can read books to the students still learning to read*

Read 6 books, write them down, then go to Dion's and ask for a Club Read "scorecard". (We made a lunch date out of it and had a fun time eating pizza and talking about the books we'd read.) While you're there, transfer the books down onto the official paper and you'll get a backpack, a book, a bookmark and a
2nd "scorecard".

If you read 6 more books you write those down and take it to the Isotopes Park and you'll get a t-shirt, a free ticket to an Isotopes game, a free drink for the game and an entry to be the grand prize winner (see scorecard for details.)

Happy reading, eating pizza, watching baseball, etc. Sounds like a fun summer plan to me.
