Changing out clothes

Does anyone else dread the thought of having to change out summer to winter clothes for your kids? It seems like it takes me an entire day to swap out shorts for sweaters. What is your method of storing/swapping clothes for the seasons? Post your own post so it's easier to see the responses.

  1. I don't know if this is the best system, but this is what I do. I have a dresser in the girls' closet, and for Paul I using a hanging rod and a shelf. As I buy things for an upcoming season (e.g. I purchased winter clothes on clearance last year for kids to wear this year), they go in a drawer or on a shelf. I also have a box in each closet to toss things in as they grow out of them. Then when it's time to change seasons, I simply box up all summer clothes and grab the clothes I've been storing in the closet. It doesn't seem like too much of a drag. And since they're accessible in the closet, I can easily grab them for unseasonable weather or for things like camping (when you want a sweater but you don't want to have to dig through a whole box of clothes to find one).
