For all the new people in our ward who were wondering, Dinner Groups are set up by the Activity Committee but we don't actually provide anything for the get together, we just set them up. We find volunteers to host a dinner in their home and they pick the time and theme (Italian, Mexican, New-mexican, all-American, etc) and then the family hosting usually provides the main dish and everyone else brings a side to go with it.
It's just for fun to get to know other families in the ward and usually kids are welcome. There are two Dinner Groups going on this Friday. If you are still interested, let me know. We can always set up more groups if we have more interest.
